Ohio Vintage Motocross
ABOUT US
Hello,Tab Estep here, my love for Kx's began when I first started
racing motocross at the age of 12. My first Kawasaki was a G5
100. My dad removed the lights and modified it for me. I raced
some different makes until age 15 when I raced a '75 Kx 250, then
a kx 400. I have had many kawasakis since then but I am always
drawn to the vintage Kx's.
Like many of us I have returned to my early days of motocross by
getting into AHRMA. The bikes are just as we remember them,we
just don't have the same young bodies to pilot them. One major
difference I have noticed is that many parts are impossible to find.
This is what brings me here, attempting to help others with the
same love of vintage motocross.
One hard to find part for the vintage Kx's is N.O.S. rods kits. If you
do happen to find one on ebay, it is likely to bring $350.00 or
more! This is why I am selling replacement rod kits for the 75 & 76
Kx 400 and 74 Kx 450.The kits comes with all parts needed to
rebuild your crank assembly, and is far cheaper than even a OEM
kit at Kawasaki prices
These kits are race proven. I have been using this setup for last
three race seasons with excellent performance. My friend, Jim
Kalb, has won three AHRMA national titles on a Kx 400 with one of
these kits installed.
I hope that by getting some of these hard to get engine parts out
there, there will be an increase in "green" seen at the AHRMA
events.
